3 Fun Bunk Bed Games Ideas

Bunk beds are fun even if they are not shaped as pirate ships, different animals, race cars or military camps. You can play games related to those themes using your imagination and some accessories that you can easily find around the house. I will teach you in this articles how to play some fun games in your bunk bed.

First, let’s start with the Double Decker game. As the name says, your bunk bed will transform itself into a Double Decker that you will be driving and take your passengers around the imaginary city and take the off at imaginary stops. You will have the chance to make your own route and present to the passengers (that will be sitting in the bottom as well as on the top bunk) different attraction points that appear along the way. For a steering wheel, ask your mom for a bucket lid. Every bus driver needs a hat, so check to see if your father has an old hat laying around the house.

The pirate ship game is probably one of the most entertaining and fun games. You will be the captain of the pirate ship bed and sail across seas filled with all sorts of dangers and enemies. Your crew will be sitting on the top bunk, behind your back, while the prisoners will be trapped in the ship’s jail that is on the bottom bunk. As a steering wheel you can use the same bucket lid and, because every pirate ship needs a pirate flag, you can draw one yourself or ask your parents to buy one.

Every kid loves to go camping into the woods. But lets say that there aren’t any woods around the area where you live. In that case, you can enjoy camping from your bedroom, actually from your bed. Exactly, you can transform your bunk bed into a tent and pretend that you are in the middle of the wilderness. Take a bed sheet and hang it from the top bunk so that it covers the space between the two beds on all sides. That will be your tent. Close all the lights in the room, play a tape with forest sounds and use only a flashlight for illuminating the place. Do not make a fire in the middle of your bedroom. 🙂 Now, you can tell scary stories inside the tent or hang around with your friends.

Of course, there are so much more different games you can play by transforming your bunk bed. But, for starters, try these 3. I guarantee that you will have major fun.
